On June 27, 2026, JBD Water Power Inc. (JWPI) and the Akeanon-Bukidnon Indigenous Peoples formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the Feasibility Study of the proposed 250 MW Capiz Pumped Storage Project.

The MOA was signed by JWPI and the authorized representatives of the three barangays covered under the same Certificate of Ancestral Domain Title (CADT), reflecting their shared commitment to working together throughout the feasibility study process.

Facilitated by the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), the signing marks an important milestone in fostering meaningful dialogue, mutual respect, and collaboration with the Indigenous communities as the project moves forward.
